- Our fund raising has reached a total of $431,196 (cash in the bank and formal commitments). We expect another $200,000 in provincial grants. We need to raise at least $242,000 more. We could be starting the new library next spring if there is a good response to this winters fund raising.

- In September 2003, a BBQ was held by the Elks to celebrate the grand re-opening of the MacLeods Store and the proceeds, $1200.00, going to the new library fund.
- We participated in the Cash and Camping Lottery. Our share of the proceeds was $10,000
- We started a "Pledge" campaign.
- In September 2003, we received a grant for $22,400 to cover pre-construction expenses such as surveying, soil tests etc.
- In August 2003, we had a booth at the local trade fair to promote the new library project.
- In May 2003, we were involved in a joint fund raiser with Driftwood Ranch. We received a commitment of $7,000 form CIBC.
- In April 2003, we received a commitment from
Encana to the amount of $10,000.
- In October, 2002, we worked at the local Casino for two days which will result in a substantial financial contribution towards furnishings, computers etc for our new library.
- In August 2002, we had a display at the trade fair at the Ag Fair.
- In June, 2002, we held a 50-60s theme dine, dance, and auction, in conjunction with the South Peace Museum. The donations for the auction covered a wide range of items from original art to loads of gravel. - A Silent Auction was held November 2001
- In the summer of 2001, we participated in the Beaverlodge Fair and Trade Fair.
- We have held a book sale and a very successful Walk-a-thon in the spring of 2001.
- We have received donations and pledges from the Town of Beaverlodge, County of Grande Prairie, Triple R Society, CIBC, to name a few.
- We are approaching various businesses and organizations for donations as well as pursuing various sources.
- We are still hopeful that the Alberta Government will restore the "2005 Legacy Grants" that were suspended earlier this year.
