Blast From the Past

A 1950's theme Dinner and Dance was held June 8, 2002 at the Beaverlodge Arena.

Music was by the "Groovestone 7". This group put on an excellent performance playing a wide variety of classic rock with a few trucker songs thrown in. "Elvis" even showed up for the occasion.

Everyone had a great time. Those who missed the event were regretting not going. Maybe we will repeat it again next year. If you are interested in seeing a repeat of this event, let us know.

Funds generated by this events will assist in the construction of the new Beaverlodge Library as well as helping the South Peace museum with their elevator relocation program.

The Groovestone 7 is a local group. If you are interested in having this group perform at your function give Lionel Robins a call at 814-5757. They give an excellent rendition of those classic rock songs. So break out those saddle oxfords, penny loafers, poodle skirts and start rock-n-rolling.
